James De Silva is a young musician based in Peterborough, UK. Currently, James is working as Pianist / Band Leader on Spalding Dramatic & Operatic Society's production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

He has training in Musical Theatre from the BRIT School of Performing Arts & Technology, and also has attained triple distinction in his Music qualification at Peterborough Regional College. He has played professionally for four years, with several full scale musicals under his belt, both as a session musician and musical director.

James' last contract was working as Musical Director for Interface Youth Arts' production of West Side Story, for which he conducted & directed the fourteen piece orchestra. Prior to that, he worked on many youth productions in and around the Peterborough area.

James is registered with the Musician's Union and supports live music in theatre venues.
